DBase-cam

Recently, a video camera was installed into DbaseIII (the computer science students' premises), taking pictures of the kitchen, digitizing them using a Sun workstation, and uploading them to the net. It's actually an old moving surveillance camera that some people here found and put to their own use.

The pictures are updated every ten seconds, making the DBase-cam a lot quicker than many of the other cameras out there. And, whereas the "Snowball-cam" only had the possibility to throw (fake!) snowballs at the people on screen, the DBase-cam provides many much more interesting ways to interact with the people you might find there.

Of course, at times the kitchen in DbaseIII will be empty for hours. But it's a pretty crowded place, so you'll find someone there most of the time. If you're really lucky, you might get pictures of people making waffles!
